SCHOLARSHIPS
2010 HS graduate scholarships to area students pursuing undergraduate degrees in Special Education or who have themselves overcome adversity:
Waterford High School: Morgan Harran
East Lyme High School: Rebecca Smith, Anthony Arias, Christopher Smith
SUMMER CAMP
10 Special Needs children received either a week of Day Camping or a week of Residential Camping at Camp Harkness, CT.
COMMUNITY PROJECTS
*Books, videos, music, computer software related to and suitable for
children with special needs and their families
*Regularly scheduled program/playgroup for special needs children;
*Speaker series for parents and caregivers
*Waterford Playscape which is accessible to all.
*Lighthouse Sensory Room - provides a variety of therapeutic experiences including mats, balls, swings, climbing wall, treadmill and exercise bike to challenge each student.
