The Kelsey S. Harrington Foundation has announced the 2009 scholarship recipients.
The foundation awarded $3,000 in high school graduate scholarships to area students pursuing their undergraduate degrees in Special Education or assistance to students who have overcome adversity.
The recipients are: Ellie Kleinhams of East Lyme High School and Timmy Lineburgh and Shannon Slocum of Waterford High School.
Through the generous contributions of the Kelsey S. Harrington Foundation members and friends, the foundation has also awarded more than $8,000 in camp scholarships to area special need students.
Twelve students from ages 8 to 18 were able to
participate in a weeklong day or overnight camp.
These campers reside in the following towns:
East Lyme, New London, and Waterford.
